How to Create an Invoice for Wise Payments
Three steps. Under 60 seconds. No account needed.
-
1
Fill in your invoice details
Enter your name, your client's name, the services you provided, quantity, and rate. The total calculates automatically. Upload your logo for a branded look.
-
2
Add your Wise payment details in the Notes field
In the Notes / Payment Terms field, enter your Wise email address, account number or IBAN, the currency you want to receive, and a transfer reference. This prints clearly at the bottom of your PDF.
-
3
Download and send the PDF
Click Download PDF. Your invoice is generated instantly in your browser — no data is sent to any server. Email it directly to your client so they can pay via Wise.
What to Include in Your Wise Payment Details
When invoicing clients who pay via Wise, your Notes field should include all of the following:
- Your Wise email address — how clients find your Wise account to initiate a transfer
- Your account number or IBAN — required for bank transfer payments in GBP, EUR, or local currencies
- Currency you want to receive — e.g. "Please pay in USD" to avoid conversion fees on your end
- A payment reference — use your invoice number (e.g. INV-001) so you can match the payment on arrival
- Payment due date — state it plainly, e.g. "Payment due by 20 June 2026"
Example Notes field text you can copy directly into InvoFree:
Payment via Wise: Email: yourname@wise.com Account: GB29 NWBK 6016 1331 9268 19 (GBP IBAN) Currency: GBP Reference: INV-001 Due: 20 June 2026 Thank you!
Wise Invoice Currencies — USD, GBP, EUR and More
Wise's biggest advantage is multi-currency payments. InvoFree supports all major Wise currencies:
- USD ($) — most common for US clients and international freelancers
- GBP (£) — UK clients; Wise's local UK account makes GBP transfers fee-free for the sender
- EUR (€) — European clients via Wise's IBAN
- PKR (₨) — Pakistani freelancers billing in local currency
- AED (د.إ) — UAE-based clients
- INR (₹), CAD (CA$), AUD (A$), NGN (₦), BDT (৳), MYR (RM), PHP (₱) — all available in InvoFree's currency dropdown
Set your invoice currency to match what your client will pay in, so the total is immediately clear and no mid-transfer conversion is needed.
Why Freelancers Use InvoFree with Wise
Wise is the most popular payment platform for international freelancers — especially those billing clients in the US, UK, and EU from countries like Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and the Philippines. The combination works because Wise handles the money movement while InvoFree handles the paper trail.
Many clients — particularly US companies and UK agencies — require a formal invoice before they can process payment. Wise alone cannot generate this document. InvoFree fills that gap: create a professional, branded PDF invoice in under a minute, add your Wise account details as payment instructions, and send it along with your project delivery.
For freelancers who receive payments in multiple currencies, InvoFree's currency selector ensures your invoice total is always displayed in the currency your client will pay in — avoiding confusion and disputes over exchange rates.
InvoFree is completely free with no account required. Every invoice you create stays in your browser — nothing is stored on our servers, keeping your client and payment information private.
